In 1985 Calypso Now planned a series of cassettes made by swiss rock critics. Only one had the courage, Mario Scherrer, who later played in the band Nordland, together with his girlfriend Priska Weber. This tape already has the Nordland sound, dark etheral synthesizer pop I'd call it.

It was already released on our Bandcamp page, where it found the interest of a Benelux record label, who asked for the master and to have it taken down, to not interfere with their sales. This was last summer. In the meantime, nothing happened, and we learned about the vinyl shortage.

So, until further news, I keep this wonderful tape here for your listening pleasure. It may be taken down again, in case there should be another release. I don't know. But if you buy it, which I really recommend, don't forget to download it, please.

Apologies to the people who had it already in their collection, from where of course it vanished. You may send a message, which will give you the right to get a download code, so it will show in your collection again, I hope.

Calypso Now was founded in 1983 by Hotcha as a cassette label. In his first 5 years the label released ~200 tapes, mostly licenced from labels from all over the world, but mainly the US, UK and Germany. Then it went into hiatus until 2010, when it reappeared with new releases and rereleases. Unsystematically, lack of time. But still important. Some stuff will be bandcamped.
